We had a Hypertuffa class at Brian Whites Nursery spring 2012.This was a fun event I am sure we will do again for 2013.
First thing you do is sift you peat moss to keep out the big lumps
sifting peat moss
We used the plung method for forming the containers
We made some really interesting containers.
On the second day we removed our containers from the molds, brushed them a bit ,made them look a little aged, and was very proud of our containers
Brian White, the class teacher shows how to install the wire mesh in the drain hole we drilled in the bottom earlier. It was 1.5 inches round so when you want to remove you plant later you can push a broom handle in the drain hole to push out you plant
The finished containers. These looked really good. We straped them down to keep them from moving around
What a fun two days we had
The molding process is done for day one just some clean up and fun with fellow members
